About AirlinesAngel

The Blog

Launch initially in 2009, AirlinesAngel, known then as “The Airline and I” started following the adventures, both in aviation and the personal work of AA. The Airline and I was rebranded in 2010, after discussions with several industry insiders, and the blog has grown immensely. AirlinesAngel has been invited to Farnborough Air Show as guest of a major UK airline and has been flown to various destinations to review various carriers within the UK. AirlinesAngel takes a holistic approach to the experience, having work extensively in the aviation sector, with roles for major airlines, airports and ground handling agents.  Not only will we share experiences but bring you the latest travel press releases.  I will endeavour to voice my opinion on these, at the moment my Thesis is a priority, I hope you understand.

Visiting Walpa Gorge - Kata Tjuta

Yvette took her first flight just a few months old and like they say the rest is history.  After gaining a BA (Hons) European Tourism, Yvette spent a couple of years travelling and working within Europe.  A role within Corporate Travel opened the world, with regular trips to Asia, Middle East and North America.  Some of her roles include:

  • Ticket Desk Agent (for a major Ground Handling Agent at Belfast International)
  • Travel Co-ordinator (for a major Clothing company based in London)
  • Cabin Crew (for a Low Cost Carrier based at Gatwick)
  • Senior Corporate Travel Consultant (for one the UK’s largest TMC)

In 2009 AirlinesAngel decided it was time to return to education to focus on the industry that she has a passion for Aviation and has recently completed her Post Graduate Diploma (Merit) Airline and Airport Management.  Today Yvette is currently working on her thesis proposal focusing on Social Media and the impact to airlines and airports.

Although Yvette is passionate for the aviation industry, she does enjoy taking time out spending time in the gym, learning about different cultures and languages and can be often found relaxing in Spas and staying in luxury hotels with a glass of Champagne (or two).
